Casablanca Valley

Veramonte Winery located in the picturesque Casablanca Valley. You can take a short informative tour of the impressive grounds and learn about the production before the wine tasting. It takes approximately 1 hour to drive there.

Viña del Mar

After the Casablanca Valley, you can continue on to the coastal city of Viña del Mar in the region of Valparaiso. We walked along the beach, passing street markets and restaurants. The area is known for its gardens, beaches, and high rise buildings. Near the beach is Museo de Arqueología e Historia Francisco Fonck. It is an archaeology and history museum exhibiting local culture. Outside the entrance, there is an Easter Island Moai statue.

Plaza Sotomayor

We finished the day trip at Plaza Sotomayor where we learned about the recent history of the military dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet which only ended in 1990. Plaza Sotomayor is situated next to the port where there are many markets and boats.
